Practicum Week 3
At school this week I taught my practicum class a Northern Light lesson. They are second graders so it was really simple. I showed them a really cool power point about the lights and we talked about it. I gave them a picture to color. It was a really fun lesson. Next week I am also going to show them a science experiment using metal pieces and magnets, to talk about how the Northern Lights are caused.
We also played a spelling game. The class was in groups of four and together they had to spell the word, then run up to me the first groups to get it right got different amounts of points. It was really fun. Some of the groups did not work together, and a few students pulled out their spelling list.
It was also one little boys Birthday and he was really cute because he brought cupcakes and he brought one to me and said in the cutest voice. "I made this for you." The cupcakes had Twinkies on top that he turned into people with Smarty eyes, and black licorice mouths and hair.
